Frequently asked questions

The poster

What exactly am I buying?

A collectible 9/11 tribute poster that commemorates the 25th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. It illustrates in one composition, more than two decades of large-scale, hand-painted memorial artwork made by muralist Joe Indart as recorded by documentary photographer, Jonathan C. Hyman.

How much does the poster cost?

The poster comes in two sizes: 18 × 24 in for $18.95 and 24 × 30 in for $19.95. During the presale you can enter the code PRESALE at checkout to take 10% off the poster, which brings it to $17.96.

Is there a discount for buying several posters?

Yes. Any set of five regular posters is priced at $99.95 automatically in the cart, and the saving repeats for every further set of five. Presale-priced posters are not included in that bundle.

Why does the image on the site say for display purposes only?

This is a presale. The image shown is a display composition that represents the collection while the final print is being prepared, so the artwork you receive will differ in layout from the preview.

What paper and finish is used?

Every poster is printed on 80 lb glossy paper with a glossy finish, chosen so the mural colours and photographic detail hold their depth under normal room light.

Is the poster signed or numbered?

This is an open commemorative edition for the 25th anniversary rather than a hand-signed limited run, so posters are not individually numbered.

Do you sell frames?

Optional frames are cut to the size you pick and offered at checkout in Black, White, Silver, Wood, and Gold. You can also order the poster on its own and frame it yourself. Frames are made to order, so they are not returnable unless they arrive damaged.

Are the postcards the same artwork?

Yes. Commemorative postcards are 4 × 6 in on the same 80 lb glossy stock. A single card is $5, a set of five is $22, and a set of ten is $40, and you choose the specific mural images you want in each set.

Ordering, shipping, and returns

How is the poster packed and shipped?

Posters are rolled into a sturdy protective mailing tube. Postcards travel with your poster when both are ordered, or in a rigid mailer on their own. Frames ship separately and may arrive on a different day.

How much is shipping?

We ship throughout the United States with USPS, and the exact cost for your address and cart is shown before you pay once you enter a valid five-digit ZIP code. Standard shipping is free on orders over $75.

Can I order more than one item at a time?

Yes. The cart holds as many posters, postcard sets, and frames as you like, keeps its contents if you close the tab, and you can change quantities or return to it from checkout without losing anything.

When will my order ship?

Orders are prepared within 1 to 2 business days of payment. Presale orders ship once the print run is released.

How do I track my order?

You will receive an email with tracking as soon as your order ships, and you can look up an order at any time from the Track Order page or your account page.

My poster arrived damaged. What now?

Contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and we will send a free replacement. Cash refunds are offered only when a replacement is not possible.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Unused, resalable posters can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Original outbound shipping is non-refundable, return shipping is your responsibility, and a 5% restocking fee applies. Full details are on the Refunds and Returns page.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes. An order can be cancelled for a full refund any time before it ships. Pending, unpaid orders can also be paid or cancelled from your account page.

Do I need an account to order?

No. Checkout works with just your email and shipping details, and an account is created quietly so you can sign in later with your email to see your orders.

Is my payment secure?

Payments are handled by our secure payment processor. Card details are entered directly with them and are never stored on this site.

Do you collect sales tax?

Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout from your shipping address, where it applies, and the amount is shown before you pay.

Do you ship internationally?

Orders currently ship within the United States. If you are outside the U.S., contact us and we will let you know what is possible for your address.

Significance and subject

Who does the poster honor & memorialize?

It honours New York City firefighters, NYC and Port Authority police officers, emergency services and first responders, all civilians who perished at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the Shanksville, Pennsylvania crash site, along with Ground Zero recovery workers and volunteers, grieving family members, and those who have since died from 9/11-related illnesses.

Why murals and street tributes rather than official monuments?

In the weeks and months after September 11th, ordinary places became sites of commemoration. Firehouse doors, garage walls, and neighbourhood corners carried the grief of the people who lived there. This poster records that everyday, hand-made response.

Is this suitable for a home, school, office, firehouse, police station, recreation room, restaurant, bar or other places where people gather?

Yes. This post was designed for public and shared spaces as much as for homes, and the room previews on this page show the poster at scale in firehouses, hallways, lobbies, and living rooms.

Bulk orders

Can I order in bulk for a firehouse, school, or department?

Yes. Bulk orders start at 50 or more posters or postcards, in any combination. Use the Bulk Orders page to send us your quantity, name, email, and phone number, and we will reach out to place the order with you.

What counts as a bulk order?

Any request for 50 or more items in total, whether that is posters, commemorative postcards, or a mix of both.

How does bulk pricing work?

Bulk pricing depends on the quantity, size, and whether frames are included, so we quote each request individually. You will receive pricing, lead time, and shipping options within two business days.

How do I place a bulk order?

Complete the form on the Bulk Orders page, linked from the main menu. There is no payment at that stage; a member of our team contacts you to confirm the details and arrange payment and delivery.

Can bulk orders be shipped to more than one address?

Yes. Note the delivery locations in the form and we will price the shipping for each destination.
